Razvan20/04/2026Verificada Amazing Rio de Janeiro We spent a wonderful week at Hotel Nacional Rio de Janeiro, and I can honestly say it was an excellent experience. This is a true 5* hotel that we would happily recommend. We chose the hotel because of its outstanding location in São Conrado, its beautiful beach, and the spectacular architecture designed by the legendary Oscar Niemeyer. The iconic circular tower is truly impressive and creates an elegant atmosphere from the moment you arrive. At check-in, Rock was extremely kind and he gave us a beautiful room on the 19th floor, room 1908, with an extraordinary view over Rocinha, the Atlantic Ocean, the mountains, and the famous Christ the Redeemer. From São Conrado beach, just in front of the hotel, you also enjoy the dramatic scenery of Pedra da Gávea and the Dois Irmãos mountains, which make the landscape absolutely unforgettable. If we return to Rio, we would love to stay in the exact same room again. The room was beautiful, clean, and comfortable, very well laid out and the entire hotel is very well maintained. The staff were always polite, warm, and attentive. Breakfast was good and varied, even if a little repetitive, but there was always everything you needed. The pool, private beach area, beach bar, and sauna completed our stay perfectly. A few small downsides: capsules for the Nespresso machine are charged separately, although they can conveniently be purchased from the Nesspreso shop at Leblon Mall. The hotel does not provide slippers, (which is indeed strange, but admitting that it was quite common in South America), and we had to pay an additional fee of around €8 for bathrobes for the stay. Also, the reception area was quite cold because of the air conditioning, which was a shame, because the lobby area and bar are truly beautiful and we would have spent time there if the cold wouldn't have chased us outside. Still, these are only minor details compared with the overall experience. The area truly feels safe and pleasant, there is a supermarket nearby, and the hotel offers everything you need for a successful and relaxing vacation. Overall, a fantastic 5* hotel. If we return to South America, we would absolutely stay here again. Colaboradores atenciosos.
